Western Illinois wins 73-64 against UT Martin

MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) - JJ Kalakon's 17 points helped Western Illinois defeat UT Martin 73-64 on Thursday night.

Kalakon also had eight rebounds for the Leathernecks (11-6, 4-0 Ohio Valley Conference). Ryan Myers shot 4 for 9 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 5 of 8 from the free throw line to add 16 points. James Dent Jr. had 15 points and shot 3 for 13 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 8 of 11 from the free throw line. The Leathernecks picked up their eighth straight win.

The Skyhawks (9-8, 2-2) were led by Jacob Crews, who posted 21 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. Jordan Sears added 13 points and two steals for UT Martin. In addition, Jalen Myers finished with 10 points.
