South Alabama earns 70-56 victory against Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Marcus Millender's 15 points helped South Alabama defeat Buffalo 70-56 on Saturday.

Millender had three steals for the Jaguars (1-1). Isiah Gaiter scored 13 points while going 4 of 7 and 5 of 6 from the free throw line. Maxwell Land had 12 points and shot 5 for 9, including 2 for 6 from beyond the arc.

The Bulls (0-2) were led by Sy Chatman, who posted 16 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Kanye Jones added 14 points, six rebounds and five assists for Buffalo.

NEXT UP

South Alabama plays Tuesday against Alabama on the road, and Buffalo hosts Roberts Wesleyan on Wednesday.
